We’re very excited to announce our merger with R&D tax credit specialist, Copper Tax. As a result, Founder & Director Claire Upton has joined us as our new Head of R&D Tax Credits.

MEET claire upton

Claire’s spent the vast majority of her 20-year career providing strategic advice and independent opinion on R&D tax credit claims for successful business owners. Having originally qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor at a ‘Big Four’ firm – where she spent 7 years within their national R&D tax credit team – she then went on to form Copper Tax in 2012, and now brings her wealth of experience to Fortus at an exciting time of exponential growth.

R&D tax relief generates cash resources through the Corporation Tax system for companies seeking to deliver new or improved products, processes, materials, devices, or services that is facilitated through work to improve scientific or technological capabilities. Cash funds are made available through Corporation Tax savings, cash payments from HMRC, or a combination of the two.
