Congratulations to our most recent Values Award Winners!

24 May 2022

OUR recent QUARTERLY BUSINESS REVIEW SAW THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF OUR FORUS AMBASSADOR VALUES AWARD WINNERS. AND for those who don’t already know, WE would like to publicly announce the winners: jOSEPH LAU, SANDY CHATTOE, AND gAIL wARNOCK!

You’ll hear us talk a lot about our own employee FORUS Board – a cohort of inspiring and passionate Fortus people from across the country who are at the forefront of shaping our business for the future.

Our first 2020/21 cohort conceptualised our Quarterly FORUS Values Award which recognises individuals who live and breathe one or more of our core values on a daily basis: DISTINCTIVE, INCLUSIVE, VALUABLE, COURAGEOUS. It fills us with pride to see this idea come to fruition, with our award programme now very much an intrinsic part of how we recognise, celebrate and reward our people.

And so, without further ado, please join us in saying a big CONGRATULATIONS to our most recent winners and a few comments people had to say about them…

  • Joseph Lau – Business Analyst – Northampton

“This person’s an unsung hero, and always helps with a smile on his face. What would we do without him?!”

“No matter the question, no matter the support you require (whether big, or small), he’s always there to help. Whether it’s on Excel, Iris or helping to keep the office tidy by doing his part to keep the kitchen clean (a difficult feat in Northampton!) or a plethora of other things, he works tirelessly to ensure the business runs behind the scenes. Nothing’s too much trouble!”

“I work with him regularly, and a large amount of the work he does goes unnoticed – I’d like to change that. I hope anyone in the Northampton office can attest to the hard work he puts in for everyone – he’s (in)valuable!”

  • Sandy Chattoe – Business Support Executive – Northampton

“DISTINCTIVE – She’s the face of Fortus when you walk in the door and is always highly professional. Her role requires her to know a lot about the business, who’s in it and where queries should be directed. To me, she stands out because she’s unique in her role (other than when another steps in to help).”

“INCLUSIVE – She always has a warm, friendly and inviting attitude when you approach the reception area. She’ll talk to anyone who walks through the door (internal and external) and is always happy to help.”

“VALUABLE – She’s a highly valued member of the team. There’s a requirement for business support to be available every day and I believe this speaks volumes about how valuable she is in her role.”

“COURAGEOUS – She deals with difficult phone calls and sometimes challenging clients (not to mention the mountain of post she has to tackle each week). This may not seem like a big deal to some, but when you have days where it’s one difficult situation after another, it can be easy to give up. However, she always faces the challenge head first and often with a smile on her face.”

  • Gail Warnock – Business Support Assistant – York

“There aren’t many people who I would say have completely changed an office for the better but she’s done that…and more.”

“She’s had a huge impact on the business support team in York and provides a friendly, professional atmosphere from the moment you enter the building. She’s fantastic with clients and staff (making sure we’re all fed and watered!) and her organisational skills are second to none.”

“The York office struggled to fill her role for a long time and as soon as she started as a temp we knew immediately what she could bring to the team. The business support team don’t always get the recognition they should, but they’re absolutely key to an office running efficiently – as she’s proved by the positive changes she’s driven singlehandedly.”

“Everything’s effortless with her and, now she’s with us, I don’t know how we ever coped without! I can’t think of anyone more deserving!

Congratulations again, everyone – well deserved!
