FORUS Board Launch

10 December 2020

On Friday 27th November, Gary announced the launch of the FORUS Board. This is a project we’ve been passionate about launching for some time and now believe the timing is right to begin the process of electing our very first Board.

From its inception, we were keen to ensure the FORUS Board sits alongside the most senior forums in the business and is a group that can, and will, enact real change in the business. This also coincides with one of the most exciting and transitional times for us. FORTUS is only 8 months in and we’re now in the final stages of a Cranfield led business growth programme. This will generate a roadmap for the next 3-5 years for the business, of which the FORUS Board will play an instrumental role in bringing to fruition.

This process begins with the first stage being a round of nominations. Below you’ll find three documents which will provide you with everything you need to know about the Board and the process.

The Board’s open to all employees of FORTUS who, within their Personal Development Plan (PDP), aspire to become a leader or senior subject matter expert in their field. ‘Leader’ doesn’t just mean those who aspire to be the next CEO of the business; leaders operate at all levels of our organisation. As the quote goes:

“Leadership is an action, not a position.”

Therefore, your decision to stand shouldn’t be governed by seniority, function or service line, or geographic location; it should be governed by the desire to play a pivotal role in the business, to develop as a leader and realise your ideas.

Nominations are open until the 24th December, with voting commencing in the new year. In terms of a sponsor for your nomination, this should be someone who you feel knows you well enough to support your application – this may well be your Line Manager, but could be others within the business.

If you have any questions, let Gary know, otherwise we look forward to receiving your nomination.
