On Tuesday 5th August, the not-for-profit community came together at York St John University for our Not-for-Profit Finance Masterclass - a morning packed with practical insights, expert advice, and meaningful connections.

Following the success of last year’s event, we partnered again with Wilkin Chapman Rollits LLP to bring delegates the latest guidance on everything from accounting and audits to governance and investments - all delivered by professionals with deep experience in the not-for-profit sector.

Insightful Sessions, Practical Takeaways

Attendees heard from our expert panel on topics that really matter:

  • Navigating upcoming changes in charity accounting
  • Understanding what auditors look for
  • Approaching meeting and investment governance with confidence
  • Sharing knowledge and learning from peers in similar roles

Our speakers included:

We were also delighted to welcome Matty Lewis, Head of the Fortus Foundation, who shared a peer’s perspective on grant applications, impact reporting, and building effective B2B partnerships - offering practical tips that attendees could immediately apply.

Community and collaboration

The morning wasn’t just about learning - it was about connecting. Delegates had the opportunity to network, share experiences, and draw on the expertise of both our speakers and their peers. The event wrapped up with a light lunch, leaving everyone inspired and ready to take their next steps with confidence.

A bright future for Not-for-Profits

Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Many left feeling empowered, informed, and more connected than ever. We’re proud to support the not-for-profit sector and can’t wait to continue providing opportunities for learning, collaboration, and growth in the future.
