Accounts Assistant

The primary role of the Accounts Assistant is to deliver compliance services to a broad range of clients, which will include bookkeeping, preparation of accounts and tax computations, all with support from senior members of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting on a portfolio of clients throughout the year
  • Preparation of year end and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies (including those under FRS102 and 105)
  • Preparation of bookkeeping and VAT Returns
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax computations 

About you

  • Previous experience in a practice environment is essential
  • Ideally AAT part-qualified
  • Experience of key accounting packages (such as Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks) and Excel is essential
  • Aligned with our culture and Values
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and a high level of attention to detail
  • Exposure to owner managed businesses
  • Technical ability with a knowledge of recent developments in relation to accounting and tax compliance (FRS102 and FRS105)
  • You will be expected to professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals
