I thrive off the energy created through working with talented and creative people...it’s not like going to work.
After training, qualifying and working exclusively in practice, initially in Yorkshire where I’m originally from and latterly in London, I set up Balmforth Associates Ltd in 2011 – a small independent boutique accountancy practice specialising in the creative sectors. Over the years, I’ve acted for a range of media, design and creative businesses, with advisory at the heart of my offering.
In my spare time, I co-star in a personal non-televised, but no less hilarious, budget version of Clarkson’s Farm with my partner and 31 horses (only 3 ½ of which are mine!) Alongside this, I recently studied for a Masters in Law (LLM) part-time, finishing with a Distinction and also successfully completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC). As you can see, I like to keep busy!
