the fbe announces Fortus as Corporate Sponsor 2022

22 March 2022

Fortus Business Advisors & Accountants has been unveiled as The Forum for the Built Environment (fbe)’s new headline corporate sponsor for 2022, further demonstrating our investment in, and commitment to, the Construction and Built Environment sector.

Commenting on our new partnership, David Jones, fbe National Chair said:

With Fortus, a fast-growing Top 40 Accountancy Age firm, we have found a partner who truly shares our passion for the built environment.

David adds, “Their specialist Construction & Built Environment sector offering, headed up by Stephen Watts, supports Owner Managed Businesses which makes them a natural fit for fbe members.

I consider Fortus to be disruptors in their space. The growth they’ve experienced follows the significant investments they’ve made in developing their specialist advisory service lines in response to the needs to the business owners. This ‘client need’ mindset is what distinguishes them from other accountants.”

Stephen Watts, Executive Director and Head of Construction & Built Environment here at Fortus said:

It was a key part of our strategy to partner with a highly respected and reputable organisation in the industry - one that shares our values and supports our ways of working.

“We’re incredibly excited and honoured to have found just that with the fbe. With a common reason for being – by the industry, for the industry – we very much see this as the start of a long and purposeful relationship that extends beyond 2022, bringing added value to the fbe and supporting its member businesses the best we possibly can.”

Fortus is no stranger to fbe members. Our team’s hosted a number of well-attended webinars over the past year, covering topics of particular interest to business owners such as succession planning and Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs) within the built environment sector. We also sit on the HMRC R&D Consultative Committee, meaning we’re best placed to advise businesses during notable periods of change – particularly given the legislative changes proposed and HMRC’s increased focus on the UK construction industry.

Through our corporate sponsorship, we’ll continue to deliver our webinar series as well as engage in fbe hosted seminar events, round tables and collaborative ‘Pulse’ surveys to deliver insight direct from the sector.
